In July and August, 1999, we (Bob and Jan) spent a wonderful 3 1/2 weeks in France, Luxembourg, and Belgium.  In Paris, with our friends, John and Sally, we visited art museums, strolled along the Seine, and ate fantastic dinners.  We spent six days on a barge in Burgundy, slowly moving along canals and rivers, riding bikes through the countryside, touring towns and wineries along the way, and once again eating superb food.  Then we rented a car and drove through Luxembourg and Belgium, enjoying the historic and charming towns:  Luxembourg City, Bruxelles, Antwerp, Brugge, and Gent.  To complete our trip, we saw the full eclipse, viewed from Compiegne, just north of Paris.
